got a creak so am trtying to eliminate things, what torque should the shock mount bolts be at?
Mine require to be frikkin tight ubt I own no torque wrench.
lol, mine is ****in tight, is that the same?
These are for my '05 Heckler but can't see why they shouldn't be the same for the more recent version.
Main pivot axle bolts, 13.5 Nm
Main pivot bearing clamp bolts, 6.8 Nm
Shock mount, swingarm end bolt, 13.5 Nm
Shock mount, static end bolts, 13.5 Nm
Drive-side dropout clamp bolts, 9 Nm
Drive-side dropout set screws, 1 Nm
Hope this helps.
cheers james
Santa Cruz website should have all the info in the tech section
Check the driveside dropout / mech hangar. My old Heckler had a horrific creak, a bit of grease in there and it was all fine and dandy.
Did 12nm on mine, the new ones aren't on the site
