Really wanted a 5 spot / tracer / blur LT

But none are available for the money I want to pay.

has anyone seen any deals around? or know anyone who might be tempted to sell?

Thanks in advance

You'll be wanting si at progressive-bikes.co.uk

He's always in here with deals! He was offering a Fox forks deal recently, but dunno if that is still a valid offer.

And the 5 Spot is worth the dosh, truely awesome frame. 😀

Cheers coogan

Id seen that offer & have seen Si pop up now and then.

Its just at that price i might as well get a 5 spot + i dont like to buy new - much prefer to buy ex demo or S/H - & i have some u turn pikes & Talas 36's to use.

Ive had 7 bikes in the last 12 mts trying to find 'the one'. I currently have a 2009 five AM and a 2009 chameleon and I thought this was it for a few yrs. But..

Im really interested to see how the chumba's ride plus i have never seen one on the trail. Ill keep looking.

Your as bad as me Tom with all the bike changes.

Why dont you buy my chameleon - I think it would be a perfect bike for what your after. Do it all bike etc?

the ebb allows you to run as a singlespeed without a tensioner or slidey dropouts.

The pink stuff belongs on the bike!

5 Spot very good bike and will hold its value if you change
your bikes a bit.

Personally I'd wait for a LT2 to pop up. OP- I dont know what you felt about your Five (I didnt like mine) but I loved my Chameleon and love my Blur4x.

Hora - my girlfriend has a 2010 blur lt2 and it's this that has made me want one. She has been riding for 3 years and does all the stuff I'll do - all day peaks/lakes rides, blacks, big rocky decents in Sierra Nevada etc etc normally on her meta, but since getting the blur she has really started to gain bags of confidence and is really testing me at the moment. The only stuff I do which she doesn't do is bigish drop. I.e. 5 ft etc but she is getting close, she's progressed to 3ft drops on the blur - all I keep telling myself is it must be the bike!

It's just too small for me- I'd need a large.

And yes the 5 spot would seem to be my perfect bike - ever since riding with marco @ ciclo Montana (who imports turners into Spain) I always thought that our paths would cross - I just thought I'd keep my five for longer.

That Ventana looks very different to a Blur- I reckon you'd need a test ride first.

oxnop - I've got a Chumba XCL and it's the FS bike I've had and having most fun on, I am still learning how far I can push it, sublime handling and stiffness, balanced and controlled just a nice trail bike been very pleased with it.

Just put a CCDB on it too unfortunatley only tried that in the snow so once we have got through "Britain The Big Thaw" I can see properly how much difference that makes to the already good RP23.

You are right though don't see many on the trails and I like that.

Forge- the vf2 is growing on me now - I'm looking about the net and the reviews are positive, I also like the idea of it been a bit left field.

Thanks for the info BTW

oxnop - one of the reasons I went Chumba was it was left field, I have had a couple different Orange Five's, Specialized Pitch and fancied a change and something different.

I am glad I took the plunge, Si and the guys at Chumba will look after you.

If u can get your hands on a Ventanna go for it and never look back.Way better than the Turner.Very stiff frame and the quad bearings last forever.A true American classic

It's never easy and a forum is only going to add to the questioning, so many nice bikes.....

You probably can't go wrong which ever you choose.
