Want to upgrade my daughters shifters, from the "el cheapos" that came with it, to xt shifters, however as its a kids bike. its a 7 or 8 speed cassette, will a 9 speed shifter work
Is it just about adjust-ability?

Nope, the amount of cable fed per click is different and non compatible

so whats the best shifters i can use on a 7 or 8 speed, she really has an issue changing gear, her fingers are not strong enough?
