Looking for a route for my first bivi trip
High or low?
North, South, East or west?
The possibilities are pretty endless!
Did this last year:
Day 1 Ambleside to Boot with the night at Burnmoor Lodge:

To be honest, I wouldn't plan a route / bivvy places in much detail. Go with a rough plan in mind but take a map and make it up the detail as you go along. In The Lakes you're rarely more than a couple of hours from civilisation if you suddenly need to bail out or get hungry / thirsty / wet.
Angle Tarn above Patterdale has a lovely little peninsula, which is perfect for camping or bivvying.
Cheers guys I like the idea of the map and see what happens.
Angle Tarn is a cracking spot
STW did a mag feature the other year.
Windermere to Keswick is a good route with plenty of options for high or low and places to camp.
Wast water is a cracking place to wake up.

my first bivi trip
Depending on your level of experience i'd suggest you have your first outing closer to home. It can be a steep learning curve so if something goes wrong its only a short ride to a warm bath and a big mug of tea.
Otherwise just take the second right, and third left and you be reet ๐
I'm a bivi virgin so I ll head off from home up the local fells and see what happens.
