Anyone bothered with this Immobitag thing?

Drops into the seat tube and is described as "almost" impossible to remove?
Surely a length of narrow metal bar and a hammer would quickly remove it?
They come with stickers to deter any would be thieves but that just alerts them to the fact they need to remove it if they do nick your bike. I reckon you would be better of not putting the sticker on although I suppose if they are scum with a slightly higher than average IQ of the typical scum then they would be aware of the possibility and check anyway.
Anyone heard any good stories about these?
yeah, ive got one in road bike, and one to go in mtb, got em for a £5 each, so thought it might help. I think it would be hard to get back out, how are you going to access it from below to punch it out? and with its shape it will resist moving back up the seat tube.
i put the sticker on, again thought it might put the thieving scum off, as i say above, they wont get it out easily.
Only rub is that its only when ya bike gets found, and then taken to a police station, and then some one thinks to scan it, will it be traced back to you.
so now you've reminded me i must put the one in the cotic, its been laid on shelf a couple of months...
ya got me thinking now, push it all the way down till it falls into BB tube then hoik it out?

My husband put one in his bike. It came loose and now rattles around his steel frame and he can't get it out.
Yeah ive got one, I got them for free from my local police. If you ask they just post one.
As above the little chip piece came loose and rattled so I had to break it out and then I just duct-taped the chip to the inside of the frame. Hasn't come loose since.
