If you have to ask 'why' then it doesn't matter.
It's almost time for the pilgrimage, can't wait!
Are you taking the MTB? I am, & am hoping to get to some remote sections, weather permitting.
why, what's happening?
essel, are you riding?
i keep thinking about buying a offroader, now the cycling is getting less.
Not riding the Trial Ton, those days of riding that are long gone! I will be longing for another trials bike while I'm up there though. Taking the 5 & hoping to do a decent ride incorporating some remote sections & meeting up with Orangecrush off here.
As I said, weather permitting!
I'm hoping to get up there for a bit - never been before. Should be good!
I'm going with my Dad, hoping that enjoying a bit of pre '65 action will persuade him to get cracking with the '58 Matchless restoration project we've been waiting ages to start.
Hadn't really thought of taking the bikes but I suppose it makes sense...
Especially for the Pre'65 as it solves the parking problem for the roadside stuff and opens up more distant sections for spectating.
Still struggling a bit here Essel with no time to look at maps but I'll see you there.
I'm in planning mode Pete, fancying section 'H' (Allt Coire an t-Seilichon) Tuesday or G & H (Meannanach & Loch Eilde Mhor) on Wednesday. I'll be in touch on Saturday though.
Does this mean access to the West Highland Way will be restricted? I'd planned to ride it on Thursday and it looks like the route passes where I'd expect to be at that time ๐
You'll be ok Alasdair, there'll be no restrictions just signs saying, 'watch out for lunatics on trials bikes' (or words to that effect) They don't touch much of the WHW on Thursday, just a bit between Glencoe ski centre & Ba Cottage.
