Hi all
Have a 36 with strongest yellow spring, not a fan of the very plush action, definately prefer the feel and tune ability for my gert heft that an air fork offers.
Have read that air to coil is possible but coil to air isn't advised due to internal damage caused by the spring to the stanchion, my question is - is there a self contained air cartridge I could drop into the 36 leg?
I will eventually get round to calling mojo but currently have family guests round I have to entertain.
I believe you can, you'll need the Float air-spring assembly and negative negative spring.
It can't be done; not according to Mojo.
The Van needs new Crown/steerer/legs to be Float-erised. That on top of the Float air spring gubbins.
Best bet? Sell Vans, buy Floats. Much less costly in the long run.
Cheers guys, had a feeling it would be a case of new almost everything, shame there isn't a modular cartridge.
What year are the Vans?
Not sure as I bought them s/h but they have the new 20mm axle arrangement
I have a 2011 Fox 36 Talas (non Kashima) with a Tapered steerer in white that I'm thinking about converting to a Van. Maybe we could talk?
Hi crundi
i'd rather only swap to the float internals rather than talas as these are on a patriot 66 which i only use as a play bike, also i believe due to the issues with marked inner stanchion tubes from the springs on mine i'd need to swap the crown steerer unit as well and as yours is a tapered it's a no go on that too.
Shame and thankyou for the offer but i think it's float internals with a 1 1/8 steerer thats the only feasible option.
