check tide times on the notice board near the toilets block slipway. walked it a few times.

Yes it's fine, although further than it looks. And the bike needed a good clean afterwards.

Not biked to Hilbre but I'm riding a bit around Thurstaston these days, love the little loop from the top past Thor's rock.

I was chatting to the guy in the bike shop in West Kirby when up visiting my inlaws this weekend. They have a demo fat bike in there that he said is perfect for a spin out to Hilbre. I was having to try very hard not to be lured into demoing the rather lovely Giant Trance they have in there too.

They're very friendly in there, go have a chat.

Can be done, prefer kayaking round them myself.

Be aware that they're nature reserves and the seabirds have been having a shit time of it lately so keep to the main track on Hilbre and don't pedal actually on t'others.
