One of these -

What's rear wheel access like? Pain in the ass to get out? I'll have mudguards on it too.....

Anybody got any other Revoulution Courier they'd like to pass comment on?
🙂

Used to work at Newcastle EBC and in my experience the nexus is a bit more faff to get the rear wheel out (mudguards don't affect that though) but after a couple of times it's easy enough - you need a spanner though!

Swalsey, you could be handy here mate 😉 - It looks like vertical dropouts on them yes? Do the cables stay attached when you take the wheel out? 🙂

If the Nexus hub works the same way as the Alfine (don't know, but probably I'd guess) then no, the cable stays attached to the frame, not the hub, when you remove the wheel:

No problem getting the wheel out on the Alfine - no QR, so spanner, as Swalsey says, and a small Allen key to turn the mechanism to release the tension on the cable, and you're done.

Ahh. I can't get the Nexxus because I need to fit the QR to hitch up a trailer, and they have bot-up axles. Bugger. 🙁

Ahh well. That's saved £85 if I get the Courier Classic instead. 🙂

PP - EBC also sell solid axle bolts to allow you to hitch a trailer.

The nexus that I have has a quick release system for the cable (edit - siounds exactly like the alfine described above) that allows you to unhitch the rear wheel pretty easily. Not as easily as a QR but not that much faff once you get used to it.
