Really enjoying this early season race. The pictures today with the riders snaking along the ribbons of black tarmac through the snow covered mountains were truly awesome. Real 'wish you were there' stuff.

Very much enjoying it...I do have to ask though, where did this new Sky fella appear from !

Movistar look strong in the hills... Valverde is a beast !

Valverde is a beast !

And at his age and all, sure it's a miracle!

I watch racing for the entertainment value, the attacks the power.. The actual reality IMO doesn't come into play. Team Sky have shown that EVERYONE is at the least borderline... Some over, some around it.. But they're all playing the same game. Sure, to a lesser extent than 15 years ago, but it's a variation on a theme.. So i ignore the what if, the maybe and even the definately, just because i enjoy watching the racing.

I’ve been watching it - good to see “the Lancashire Longshot” (copyright Carlton Kirby) Hugh Carthy riding well yesterday.  He got 10th a couple of years ago with Caja Rural so hopefully he can improve on that this year.

Bernal looked really good but no idea where the rest of his team disappeared to yesterday, on paper there were a couple of riders who should have been able to follow the front group for a while which would have meant he didn’t have to chase Quintana everywhere.
