Bought a 2nd hand front road shimano mech and setting up I've found the outer limit screw is solid, won't move either way. Means that it rubs when in big ring and smallest cog ๐Ÿ™ any good bodges out there?

Pour boiling water over it very slowly and then try.

I like singing this song at full volume when I'm adjusting my limit screw, maybe it could work for you.

Immense heat, extreme cold, brute force, frustration, strop, power tools , strop then a hammer ๐Ÿ˜‰
soak it in oil for a few days to see if it gets lubed up enough to move. Then try it drill it but possibility of damage to the mech

Good Luck

I've solved similar issues with application of 'Plus Gas' and patience; apply and wait.

It's not a fossil fuel (thoughy probably burns if ignited) but an effective penetrating fluid.
