Anybody own and use one of these?

What's it like, is it quite rigid or flexible, any problems in using it? I've looked for reviews but can't find many so would like some firsthand experience from you guys. Very similar to the scicon plastic case but less than half the cost, wondered if there's any issues where you attach the wheels inside with the skewers as the pod might flex at that point??

Anyone? ๐Ÿ™‚

I just bought one. I've not used it yet apart from testing how the bike would fit in it.

The case isn't rigid, the sides do have some flex.

I googled around looking for the best way to place the frame & wheels. Found a couple of threads on roadie/tri fourms that suggest the eyelets for the wheel skewers might possibly detach (the eyelets don't have a huge amount of surface contact with the sides of the case). Also that the threaded part of the skewer sits proud of the case & would catch on your leg or whatever. I'd agree with these sentiments. These threads suggest using wheel bags for the wheels inside the case, which is what i'll be doing.

Apart from that, it looks fine. Much better than using a cardboard box IMO.

Yeah, I used a cardboard box before and got dome damage from a hub axle despite packing very carefully so looking into various boxes and cases and bags at the moment, like the idea that the pod has storage for the wheels that should keep them in place, and opens up to pack - trying to fit everything in a box from the top was a bit of a nightmare last year. Thought about a hard case but heavy, expensive and I've heard the baggage monkeys will throw it around, general thinking seems to be they 'might' treat a padded bag or box differently?

Be interested to know how easy it is to pull around, I read somewhere to use the strap at the front to pull it - you tried that yet?

I've only briefly tried pulling it around by the "handles". They'd probably be ok dragging it from the car park to check-in, but i wouldn't want to do much more than that. I'll probably try hooking a loop of webbing around the front strap & see how that goes.
