I had an issue with a Specialized storm tyre getting it seated and for the first time I borrowed a co2 cartridge inflator

1 hour fugging about with a track pump in vain and 5 seconds with the Co2 job done.

needless to say I now want one but any recommendations

I've got one of these for the road iron. So far, so good.

Don't bother with the big inflator, all you need is a small screw on one as per the last 'clicky'

You can buy the Co2 canisters very cheaply in bulk online eg http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Threaded-10-x-16-gram-co2-cartridges-for-inflating-cycle-tyres-Outstanding-/160922529598?pt=UK_Spots_Leisure_Cycling_Tools_RepairKits&hash=item2577baef3e

About 10x cheaper than buying branded cycling ones!

Innovations Microflate Nano is excellent. The push to activate ones are dross. I had the yellow one first, bought the next one up for second duties, and it's rubbish, so bought another nano.

Co2 Cartridges and Tyre Inflators are the same company.

I've got that Microflate Nano (actually three of them, one for each bike). Works well, but once the cartridge is on, the CO2 does leak out over time, so when you next go to use it, there's no gas in there. So, I try to keep a couple of canisters, plus the Microflate separately.

I've had a Genuineinovations air-chuck SL for ten years and it's been faultless.

Just a very basic tip when using Co2, just make sure the tyre is on properly and the tube isn't trapped. No biggy but it just wastes a canister.

Can anyone recommend an inflator that works with schraeder valves? I've got a couple but they only seem compatible with presta.

If it's just for seating tubeless tyres build yourself a ghetto tubeless inflator for pennies. Works a treat.
