I'm off the BPW tomorrow and fancy grabbing some fish and chips on my way home, has anyone got a first hand recommendation for a good chippy?

when I used to do forestry contracting in the valleys 20 yrs ago my mate used to keep one of those blank postcards in the glovebox of our van onto which he had penned his "chip chart"
It was a list of all the chippies we'd visited in the valleys with a star rating for chips, fish and battered sausages.
This was obviously pre trip advisor and smart phones etc. he must have had a real desire to post a rating... prob spends his life on trip adviser now...
if only I had that chip chart now I could offer some (outdated) advice.
