There were mutterings about this a few weeks back. Any concrete plans?

* puts hand up*

I was just about to put something on the TBC page about this - and link to it here.

Basically, there are a few of us meeting up at the public car park on Atholl Road on Sunday (the one beside the TIC). 9:30. Look for the light blue Uglipla.

Current plan is to head out to Kinloch Rannoch, grab a bite, then up Schiehallion (missing out the Loch Rannoch Loop). The Fortingall loop is currently an optional extra, to be assessed on the day depending on weather/enthusiasm.

Speed will be, as you say, mellow. We have a couple of relative noobies with us, so it's really more about seeing the course than going for a time.

I'd better get that info up on the TBC web-site then.....

Druidh, it might be worth checking to make sure the cafe in Kinloch Rannoch is actually open. It was closed a couple of weeks ago. The hotel across the road will be open though. If there are any mellow splinter groups that are keen to do the complete loop, I'd be up for that.

I'd like to join you McM, but:

a) I don't have a road bike

b) I'm off to Contin for SXC torture and humiliation on Sunday

Italspark txted me about an Aviemore weekend - off to find the thread.

Look mate - make a date for getting up here and I'll do it with you. Just not in the next 4 weeks, okay?

Druidh, Any idea of how many you are expecting?

Currently have 11 confirmed - including yourself. I expect there will be others on a similar "mission" on Sunday too.
