Sun was out and a fair few people riding around but that wind was nasty in the wrong places better in West Wood shame it never stayed frozen on some of the tracks Fattie worked well and I found a dog for the owners my good deed for the month can only get drier some time!!!
No it was horrid!
Recovering from a cold so popped out for a walk. And felt like I'd been sliced in two with a popsicle. It's what my dad calls a lazy wind.
It doesn't go round you it just blows straight through you.
Yup. Two hours this morning around the Uptonogood route, fun.
Yes, by staying inside looking out of the window at it and enjoying being warm.
Sounds like the same wind we had on the South Downs.
Was lovely in the sun if you found some shelter, otherwise it was biting !
I did 4 hours in it yesterday.
Foolishly ,I picked a route which was 75% headwind & now have comedy chapped lips/cheeks plus a flaky left nostril.
Lazy wind like that to be honest the ride across the Ridgeway was ok till the Avebury junction then it nearly blow me off couple of times it was back along the old railway line that was worse you think that would be more sheltered fine in West wood amazing how strong the wind is these days I was thinking I am in Wiltshire not on top of Man Tor etc not so cold when I got back home to Cheltenham hay ho spring is on its way less cold still muddy I expect better out than in.
I did 2 hours in it on the gravel bike yesterday on a route that was mostly headwind.
Not looking forward to going out this evening but got to try to stay motivated and positive...
