Going to use this time to work on riding in flats. Not done it since 1990..
Have bought some nice Syntace pedals so need some shoes to go with them.
Anyone spotted any great deals?
Ta

Sorry as a cheeky post and a long shot but would these work for you? I thought they were a bargain when I got them but sadly won't be needing them now:

I've got the on one flat shoes.not as grippy as five tens but I like them.fit similar to vans and they were good in the winter and don't get soggy in the wet and mud. I paid 30 pounds I think for mine

Try sport pursuit. They had five tens for £50ish the other day.

I wouldn't buy anything from an ad that only shows stock photos myself

If you're somewhere between a 6-9 shoe size and are ok with the black version, cheap mavics at CRC

DezB - I only put a stock photo on as they're new in the box so an actual photo wouldn't add much. I'd also hoped the person could collect. If anyone did want them then of course I could take more photos.

For 5.10 adidas often have certain models on sale and googling a discount code can currently get you an additional 25% off.  Free delivery too.  Make sure you size up for 5.10.

It would show that you actually have the shoes. More so than a stock photo does anyway.

I agree with DezB, I skip ads with stock pictures, from experience they are either a scam or in much worse condition then described!

@londoncommuter - I'll possibly have these Steve, I live in Darley Dale. I've got the clipless version already.

Still deciding whether to shell out over £100 on these though, will let you know....

null

Cheers, Dave

I generally ride clipless with CB Mallets, but have flats on the HT - Superstar Nano Evo's. No idea about your pedals, but these with five tens, you're pretty well stuck to the pedal anyway. That said, I still manage fine with harder shoes. Shouldn't take much getting used to

If you're serious, by all means get some Fivetens or whatever, if you're unsure and just having a go, any flat soled trainer will be fine. If I'm only pissing about local woods I wear running shoes that have done their mileage, but are still in decent nick, works fine. Saves the soles of my Fivetens getting hammered.
