I was tapping them repeatedly on the back of a Yale lock whilst using a Neodymium magnet to pull out the key that someone had snapped off inside the front door lock. I put them down inside the hall and then cleaned up the mess and put everything away.
This morning they are not in my tool roll. Is one of you lot mucking around?

Found them! In the box of tiny screwdrivers and tweezers i have for fixing Apple stuff. D'Oh! I was trying to use the tweezers to pull the key fragment out.
