Hi all,
I've tried to make a route on Garmin Connect and also Mapmyride, exported as a .gpx and then copy/ pasted the file to the courses folder of my Garmin Edge 800. The problem is that it doesn't show up on the list of courses once browsing on the Garmin unit itself.
What am I missing? 🙂

I think you need to put it in a folder called 'new' or something. I will just take a look.
Copy the GPX file you exported into the Garmin\NewFiles folder on the Edge 800. The unit picks it up from there.
Ah ha! Perfect now 🙂 I've had the Garmin 3 years or so now and never noticed the New folder let alone given any thought as to how to use it!
And if you want to protect the course in case the gps crashes there is the same folder on the sd card that you can also use.
