Have had a few very unsuccessful off road SS rides and decided it's just not for me - love it on road but I find that off-road terrain changes too much for you to keep the momentum going unless riding something really smooth! So it's time to fork out and replace my nackered gears.
I need to replace: jockey wheels (older style Deore XT mech), cables, chain, chainrings (32t and 24t I believe) and cassette (34-11 at the minute). Probably just sticking with Shimano as I already have the mechs and shifters. Is it worth getting those full length Gore gear cables to stop the crap getting in?

not tried gore gear but really like xtr cables with sp41, you can buy 10m of sp41 at parker int too, some other stuff not badly priced either
