Fancy upgrading from Deore/Hayes 9's, not really sure what to go for, has anyone seen any good deals out there?

38£ each Juicy 3s from Merlin, 58£ each for the 5s but at that point you might as well go for the Elixir Rs for 75£ each or 150 for a pair of Hayes Trails.

Personally wouldn't touch the Juicy 3s with a mile long stick I would rather spend 170 and get a pair of SLX Shimanos. Have a pair of second hand XTs... LOVE THEM.

I have a pair of Formula Oro K24s I'll be selling very soon. £75 for front and rear (no rotors but unless you're a Clyde 160mm will be plenty!)

Madison were pushing out XTs to shops at reduced rates around October/November time so there should be a few of those to be had.

Even £10 an end for Juicys would be too much!!!!

Right the 09 XT on Merlin are looking good to me at the moment, are they worth the extra over the SLX or Elixir R ?

Same stuff XT is just a bit lighter and some say have a bit more stopping power. Either way for 28£ more I'd buy XT.

The XTs do seem mildly sharper than SLX, in power as well as feel.

Both are brilliant brakes though.
