I'm looking for a bike for a mate. Bit of a tall ask but it has to be under a grand and a week in the alps capable (capable as the rest of us have DH bikes or beefed up trail bikes) I've spotted the Sunn Charger on CRC and to be honest it seems to be in realms of what I thinks he's looking for.
So any other deals out there?
I know second hand would be the better option but he has a new 0% card burning a hole in his pocket.
Does it have to be a full suss?

Yep sorry. Full suss would be preferable. I've found that things are just a lot more fun in the Alps with a full susser especially for someone who has never been. Makes it a bit easier.
That Giant is a good bet also.
The Sunn does seem as good as you'll get for a grand. If he can find a bit extra I'd look at this with the free upgrade to Spank Spike wheels
