i fancy riding my bike into town on a saturday instead of using the bus but i'm not sure where or if there is anywhere safe to leave it
i was thinking king edward street or somewhere near by
was planning on using my cross bike which is a few years old and does nt look anything special
what other precautions can i take other than leave it in a public place, lock it (krytonite new york lock & a cable lock)

You could lock it at the station - there are the inside bike racks beyond the barriers but you would need a train tickt or the covered ones by the taxi rank - there will be plenty of people milling about, which might deter would-be thieves.
