Well sunny in the morning anyway. I love this place. Think I prefer it to BPW although it's a ball-ache to get to (BPW is 45 minutes away, this is three hours). Last time we went in Aug 2015 it was a bit wet, this time it was dusty/loose. I was mincing with a broken finger which didn't stop me uplifting 9 runs, the last three on the black. Might not tell the consultant that when I'm back for x-ray in two weeks.

Spent a bit of time taking pics. Pretty happy with the results off my TG-2. Took the big SLR but never used it.

If you want a fab day out with a brilliant uplift service and lots of trails entirely rideable by all of us who are pretty much average, can't recommend this place enough. Back in two months ๐Ÿ™‚

Lots more: https://www.flickr.com/photos/alexleigh/

Nice post.
Always good to hear of other people having a blast on their bikes.
Never been to Antur but looking at your photos, I quite fancy it.

You missed the epic breakfast baps beforehand!

Antur is a grand spot. Great riding, great set up.

Good photos.
We were there (our first time) about 10 days ago for our wedding anniversary! Had a great day. I stuck to the blue and red trails on my hard tail but managed 14 runs.

14 is going some. I quit at 9 although a) we arrived late and b) I only had 1 1/2 hands ๐Ÿ˜‰ Aug 20th we'll be back for my Birthday. By which time hopefully I'll have two working hands. And no excuses!

We stopped about 30 mins away for breakfast. I was facing a mutiny in the car at that point...

Oh and riding that on a HT... saw a few people doing it.. much respect as they were taking a beating.

Having said that I'd quite like to take my Chubby Stache up there...

Awesome place hope to be back soon.
Definitely take the Stache when you go back, I had a blast on my rigid 29+ Stooge.

There on Saturday - will be my third time there but first time on a big bike.

I prefer the uplift service to that of BPW too; its just so much more efficient plus the uplift start / trail end are actually in the same place. BPW offers more variety though.

Agreed on the variety. Don't get bored at Antur tho. I would happily ride the (easier) black all day. Maybe then I'd have a go at the big drop near the end that I keep riding round ๐Ÿ˜‰

Still having BPW and Antur drivable in one day is no bad thing. Plus Flyup-417 just down the road as well.

@Alex The big big drop or the slightly smaller drop round to the left of the big big one?

The big one. I did the one on the left on my last run. Every time I ride round the big one I think 'you wimp, get off there' but then when I actually look at it, it gives me the willies!

Screw going off that big drop, far too much consequence for failure.

The one on the left of the big drop is easy, just a simple roll off/over.
