Another pair of trailcross gtx or something else?

Mine are now on my fifth winter and both are letting in water from somewhere. I did try to glue a part where the sole had lifted slightly but obviously fighting a losing battle. Otherwise the grip is still good and they aren't falling apart.

I'd happily have another pair as they've served me well but also wondering what alternatives there are, possibly with a bit more insulation. I've seen some northwaves at a good price but never worn any and don't know how they size up. Vaude another option. Shimano looked promising but reviews not great.

I'm leaning towards another pair but would be good to know if others found anything better.

Cheers

I tried the Shimano but found the elasticated cuff was far too baggy. I am already a happy GTX owner and once you learn the technique for getting them on and off I don’t think they can be beaten. They have stood up to Peak District bogfests very well, the only improvement they need is a velcro lace holder - I would stick with what you know
