Bought a new bottom bracket from halfords but forgot to get some anti-sieze paste. Is it essential?
and can I use standard grease? I forgot the type of grease I've got but it's a big round tube and you push down on the circle at the top to make the grease come out of the centre. I've got some GT85 as well.
It's GXP external btw.

Normal grease will work just fine.

Is it crony-molybdimum grease (I know the spelling is wrong)? I.e. the heavy grey stuff you squirt into grease nipples? if so then it will work fine, but only a thin smear on the threads.
