I dont want to record miles vs wear 😉 or anything but I've noticed something odd.

I keep an eye on chainwear maybe once a month (as I swap wheels rather than changing tyres - which is probably more anal) but...

Has anyone else noticed that KMC and SRAM linked chains wear WAY faster near the quick link than in the rest of the chain?

eg on a 20 hour chain if I measure the wear across the quick link the wear is over 1% but in the rest of the chain it's almost new (way less than .75)??

Or am I doing something wrong?
