We've not had a lads trip away there for years and the last place we stayed at is closed now!
Hopefully heading up there in September and we want somewhere near to pub/s and something decent to eat.

Think Someone has mentioned the Castle Hotel in Neath as a possibility?

TIA

Stay at The Queens

There is one pub in the village of Glyncorrwg, more of a club / meeting rooms really with a bar in the basement , looks dodgy but very friendly. They will order food in and even provide plates and cutlery. Highly recommended.

Afan lodge is lovely, I don't think there's much near by, other than its own trail into the Forrest - but they have a good bar / restaurant.

Very chilled place to be.

Rose cottage. Self catering secure bikes storage across the road from the pub - which does decent food / a gammon challenge.

Don't think we'd do self catering just for one night but want a good fried breakfast mind!
What beer have they got at the lodge?

+1 for rose cottage- nice location, good storage, ride to the trailheads of Afan... Mind you the place'd be packed solid if you filled every bed.

Afan Lodge is superb. Great bar and food. Right next to the trails from they're grounds. Great place for riders.

I can't read 'Rose Cottage' without thinking it's a morgue.
