I need a new front wheel for my GT backwoods commute bike, I have looked at a few online but not many say if they are V brake compatible. As light as possible and something that will last, budget around £50 or cheaper if possible.

Merlin are showing non-disc rear wheels online but I'm sure they'll be happy to do you a front one if you email them

Thanks for the advice, will probably call merlin. If it states its a disc wheel does that mean it cannot be used with V-brakes? (Thinking of upgrading frame forks brakes etc in the future)mind you had the original front wheel on it 10years and used it as a serious commuter for 3 years so I should not complain.
