Any one else suffer with this??? It's not due to any impact or crash, but I'm fairly certain it's bike related
any treatment or handlebar set up I could change??

Those are the ones I use usually, and as you can see they've got a tougher, thicker material protecting the thumb knuckle. Or maybe you're just holding the handlebars, very, very wrong.
