Hi,
I'm wanting to try my hand at some XC racing next year and have been offered a 2015 KTM Myroon prestige 29er hardtail for £1500 in good nick. Does this seem a reasonable price? I'm pretty sure the bikes suitable for me but haven't looked any any other bikes.
Any advice appreciated ta

Price sounds decent but it looks like a precision instrument. Do you own some other bikes? Because it's a bit of a commitment if you've not tried racing before. If racing doesn't really take off then you're left with an average bike on your hands, for general riding.
Easiest way into XC racing is to use a good allround HT or short travel FS, then if you're bitten by it you can get something more focussed.

If you're already sorted for general riding then the prestige would be a cool bike to unleash on your local XC series. There are plenty cheaper ways of doing it, but if you can afford it then why not.

Cheers Gary,
yeah I own several 🙂 my old 26" Rockhopper and full suss will have to go to make room. I've road bikes and cross bike as well.
Racing wise I've been cross racing the past 4 years and finally got a cat 3 road licence but getting a bit long in the tooth for the road racing as I get my arse kicked by the youngsters so some sort of age related XC racing sounds interesting.

Cheers for the offer heavy rat, but having had a demo ride on the KTM I'm loving the lightness of it.
