I'm 6ft, medium-ish build, 13 stone/82kg, 34" waist. Large fits me just right.

Thanks OP, tempted, my current physique puts me on Large by the sound of things but ideally I'm looking to be about 7kg lighter than I am now so perhaps I should go medium and aim to fit into them.

You could chuck a bottle cage tool case in for £1 or £2 too. Bargain!

How do they size up

They get baggier rather than taller (as opposed to some brands that assume every size has 4% body fat and just scale the length).

I'm 6ft, longer torso, and 90kg and XL bibs short on the straps and baggy on the legs. Not enough that I don't wear them, but enough that I wouldn't buy more pairs.

So if you're average height they're great bibs.

How are they length-wise? I'm 6ft 3in, 75kg so should be a medium but I find some bibs are too short - I've got Madison bibs in M and DHB in L and the size large fits better.

5ft10 and 80kg - the large in the pro-line range fit just right.
I would have thought that if you're 6,3" in the large would be too short in the body.
However, as someone else mentioned, the XL get's looser rather than longer. XL didn't work for the tall whippets I know.

My pair sized big and they aren't very breathable on the torso, ok for an easy spring or autumn outdoor spin, not good for me indoors or on an outdoor ride involving some hill efforts.

Ahh, cheers - will give them a miss then - you'd think being "pro" cut they'd be more suitable for the skinnier build.

Nothing worse than a pair of bibs giving you a constant wedgie when they're too short in the body.

I've bought a couple of pairs of these before at £20 each.

They have a great pad and last fairly well.

They have a high torso section so are quite warm, but I did wear a pair last night when it was 20 odd degrees, under a pair of baggies.

I'd get black ones, as they do have a habit of seperating a bit on the legs (the inner mesh like layer and the outer lycra) so the red becomes more visible.

Great for commuting or under baggies.

Sizing is fairly normal for me, I've worn a M between 70 and 80kg at 5' 8" with big thighs. I wear medium shorts in all brands that I've come across.

I bought some mediums I'm 5 10 and 79-72kg...fit my body ok but too big around thighs. Ok for winter use under padless bibs

I had a set of the 3/4's, at 6'2, around 90Kg's 34-35" waist (depending on IBS!) and long in the body I opted for XL.
waist fitted OK, thighs baggy and the bib is not particulatly stretchy, so quite short.

I could have fitted into a L, with a much closer fit, but didn't want to risk going shorter.

didn't like them.

for comparison, madison and pearl izumi shorts I have in large, I do have a set of XL madison shorts, which are slightly baggy, but again, the bibs on those particular types are not stretchy, so they feel OK on, but wouldn't want to go smaller.
DHB shorts I'm a Large.

for me it's about having enough stretch in the torso.

unless anyone recommend sports braces for my non bib shorts?
