We're supposed to be heading down 2 weeks from now, and usually we'd stay at Conifers at Newton Stewart, but it turns out they've gone into receivership 🙁 Still looking into that as an option but does anyone have any recommendation for alternatives? Probably a good caravan park would do it, or bunkhouse, would like to avoid B&B given the numbers.

Only 400m from Dalbeattie. A quick Google should find it.

Crackin wee place, as stumpy says, 400m, vis a path, to dalbeattie - brings you onto the trail at the start of the 2nd boardwalk at the start of the trail.
Also, about 2 miles from Kippford. Lovely wee village.
