My 11 speed XTR shifter has just turned up and the I-spec bracket is different yet again! I suspect this won't bolt directly to a Hope tech 3 lever which is kind of annoying, what was wrong with the last set up?

Is it at all backwards compatible?
I can see why they might want to keep chucking little compatibility blockers in the way, to herd shimano customers down the the new groupset/whole new bike route, but eventually it's going to backfire...

I-spec II, just tried and it's not going on the Hope lever, with a bit of luck Hope will make an adaptor, or I'll just have to buy a normal clamp on shifter.
