After breaking my titanium frame a couple of weeks back I have now snapped an XTR crank!!

Time to cut down on the weight gain 4000 I think!
This crank was on a singlespeeded Roadrat commuter!

is there any sign that there was a crack their before (does it look like 'fresh' metal all the way across the break)?

Hadn't noticed a crack before. Haven't got it with me at work.
It went instantly and I was lucky I didn't come off! I had just stood up to crank up a hill and I stamped on the floor, with the pedal attached to my shoe!
