Went out on the MTB for the first time since august, was going to go for a road ride but thought I'd get just as wet and it wouldn't be half as much fun!

So glad I did, muddy as a very muddy thing but a few months of road riding has made a noticeable difference to my fitness, meant I could just get on with slipping about all over the place. Everyone I met (walkers, horse riders, little group of cyclists) were all nice and cheery too despite the rain and mud.

To top it off as I was riding home I got a call from mumsie inviting me round for a cup of tea, she'd passed my on her way back from shopping (parents live right by forest) and by the time I got round there was a lovely cuppa waiting for me. 😀

Oh the baggies? Deal with it.

Clean face and no mud in your ears?

Must try harder 😉

😆 Don't take away my glory

Had a waterproof over that top but just goes to show how good crud catcher & neoguard combo is, means I don't spend half the ride chewing the gritty mud.

Most of the stuff on my legs is dry too!

Spesh E150 with the garish decals removed, was looking to replace the flexy Marzocchi forks that were on there on got these off ebay, brand new for £150 (3ish years ago). I don't know why people don't like them, I've found them perfect for the Commencal and the tuning is easy (takes a bit of fiddling to get them right though), spike valve is controlled by a second air valve on the bottom of the fork. Damn light for triple clamps too - would recommend.

Only thing that isn't perfect is they're 25mm thru axle so you have to use spesh hubs, but it's been fine. Had a problem with the one that came with the forks (I split a spacer when I was fiddling with it) but rang up spesh and they sent me another hub for free!

The Neoguard will kill your forks. FACT.
