Just taken part in an eduro event at SPIRTHHILL near Chippenham. Its the first MTB event that the organisers have put on , i would just like to highly recomend this event. the course was bloody marvelouse with lots of do able but technical single track ,a good few interesting stream crossings ,small jumps built into the course at just the right places to be a trail god even if your not one(me). A small event with really good organisation, buckets of free jelly beans, and T shirts, and big smiles all the way home.they do other events including running events. the link to there site is http://wwweventslogicuk.com . ๐Ÿ™‚ cheers

Had you ridden there much before? I couldn't picture riding around there for 4hrs. If you're local and enjoyed that, I hope you've entered SPAM Erlestoke 12

I'm about 2 miles away from Spirthill and have never ridden there, I got a FB message about this the other day but like Fuzzyfelt said I couldn't imagine 4hrs round there would be much fun?

Good to know it went well and you enjoyed the course, will have to look out for the next one ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hiya yetirose. I was the guy on the singlespeed Singular.

I thought the event was well run, although the course was a bit on the 'slop' side of muddy for my tastes. Still had a good few hours though; learnt a few things ready for the next step up, which is probably Erlestoke 12hr.

I think riding round almost any trail, lap after lap, will be dull if you were only there for a laff. It's the challenge of having others to beat, as well as pushing yourself harder than you would on a social ride, that makes it worthwhile.

It's also not very often you get to see how much faster the national 12hr champ can ride muddy singletrack on virtual slick tyres than you can on Mud-Xs. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
