We are passing through llanwrtyd wells to watch the snorkeling and thought we might get a ride in, too. Can anyone suggest a route? Nothing too epic but a bit of nice singletrack would be good.

Drive/ ride to the other side of the Devil's Staircase, then ride beside, across, through and up the river Tywi. The Tywi track is monumentally fantastic. Do not expect to remain dry, there are several fords. Also, as it is the last Bank Holiday of 2009, expect a few 4x4s as it is one of the few remaining 'tough' routes open to them.
It is a beaut of a ride. There is a bothy en route also. I'm going there tommorrow.
