How did you enjoy your first foray into racing, Domino? Always good to win a prize first time out, very motivating. Looking good btw ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks Jo, I absolutly loved it. I may not have done brilliantly but the prize was definately a good motivator - there were only two ladies in my category.

I sincerely hope that more ladies attend the next few races - don't be shy girls, if I can do it then so can you. The Have-a-go Hero category was perfectly designed for newcomers like me, minimal contact with the racers meant that I never felt like I was in the way and people were really good when passing.

people were really good when passing

I'd agree with that (from what i saw from a Marshal's POV) as we were stationed at a point where the have-a-gos met the main track again on the last d/h before the climb to the finish.

there never seemed to be a problen of people merging there. and lots of good clear shouts of 'on your left' etc as everyone came down the singletrack towards us

domino, nah, I tried it years ago at NEMBA and decided it's not for me.
