Has anyone tried making a hybrid triple - using the 42 tooth outer and 24 tooth inner whilst retaining their 32 tooth middle?
I’m thinking:
Possible Advantages:
Smaller drops for smoother front shifts.
More clearance.
Less hectic granny pedaling.
More time on outer ring.
Possible Disadvantages:
Less Speed at top end.
Loss of lowest gear.
Possibly more duplication of gears.
Anyone tried it or have any thoughts?
