Ton - two foods for thought...
(1) me and my daughter watched one of the tour of britain stages, one guy is 48! i ask you, i could never ride that quick at 28 let alone 48!
(2) riding today, passed two old boys (70+?) on there bone shakers going up a hill, bugger me, if one of em caught me up along the top, giggling like a teenager! got chatting, they'd done a pretty impressive route (25 miles?)... age isn't the barrier (ok, it helps) but there are plenty of 20 year olds who couldn't ride that far (it was a hilly route)

2nd half of the ride was trouble free and way better than the 1st half.. 😉
49 on the Ogden ride? Bloody good turn out if thats it!

the only ego is from those who think they are too special to turn up. Cracking day out with great company, I enjoyed riding with everyone I got chance to ride with. Even the weather held out!

just got home 5 mins b4 the missus had to goto work!- not happy
I wouldn't want to ride in such a big group every week, but it was fun today.

100% success on the weather front for these rides so far. Can't be bad considering the summer we have had.

Some cracking descents today. I would like to know who put a quagmire on the side of a hill though. 😆
49 sheesh. I got about 35 on the Mendip ride and thought that was tricky to control. Amazingly popular though these meet and greet STW rides.
Do you think Graham's idea of a Saddleworth Moor ride in the middle of December will bring the same number out?
