Does it look wrong? I don't suppose you can notice much difference in stiffness, I just don't want the crown to look lost.

Photos would be good (particularly Fox Float 32), thanks.

you can see the crown is fairly narrow but it's not the end of the world.

Still don't think it's particularly visible or 'undersized' but perhaps I'm basing my judgement on Lynskey set-up that I'm familiar with...

Looks better with an external lower headset cup.

I don't have a photo to hand to back up my theory though.

Is that not a tapered fork Marge?

Think I'm going to go for a straight steerer anyway for future compatibility options.

The 1 1/8th steerer I have just built into a Carbon 456 looks very much alive.
