I'm considering some of these to replace my now knackered Pigmys.

Has anyone used them? I expect them to be heavy. Can you replace the bearings in them?
I asked the supplier to no avail.

Must admit i have had pince bolt cranks on my bmx and the socket cap head keeps snapping off. Put some class 12.9 socket caps in and not had problem since, sure are heavy though.
As for bearing in the EURO style, you can just get new bb set form winstaleighs, alans bmx etc
Thanks Goby. It looks like the bearings are accessible in some photos I saw and presumably press out.
Are the bearings in this type of BB an industry 'standard' type then with many 3 piece cranks?
My Pigmys weren't pinch bolt type and were a PITA to remove when the self extracting bolt caps stripped..
