Hi all. I'm doing this swap over the weekend using a slx cassette. My question is will I need to use a spacer behind the cassette like on a road bike or is it a straight swap?

Should be a straight swap, 8 speed & 10 speed cassettes are the same width. No spacers required.

Thanks for the reply. Should have the last few bits turn up today. I've gone for a zee rear mech with a narrow/wide chain ring from merlin.
