I need a new one for my Camelback is there anything better than an Omega one, or should I go for something else?
anyone use these?

Find the dakine/hydrapak bladder really good, only thing letting it down is the bite valve imo, its a slide in/out design and leaks if left out, found the slide gets really hard to pull out to the point where I think i'm going to pull teeth out with it, if only the camelbak bitevalve would fit....
I do know that Omega resevoirs are not microwavable. I keep my bladder in the freezer so no bugs grow in it . I wanted to go out for a spin and it had a block of ice in the tube and about a pint in the bladder, so i pop it in the microwave . 'fail' . I melted the bladder. Looked at a new Camalbak one and they seem to be £22 ish, so I bought a cheapo 2.5 ltr one from Ebay , which still tastes like anti septic , even after half a dozen soaks in freash water. It also doesnt seal very well and the thread on the tube has stripped already so it permanently weeps .
I like the look of the Platypus one, I had one years ago and it lasted maybe 5 years ( no microwaving tho )
The ones from Deuter are much easier to fill, clean and are very robust.
They have just introduced a new valve as well with a twist to open/lock action.
Thoroughly recommended.
dakine. fill with ice cubes easily in the summer too
Really like the Hydrapak bladders.
Bitevalve is good and easier to clean than camelbak.
Think I will go for a Platapus one 🙂 thanks all.
