Is the extra cost / weight worth it for the RC2? I must admit I'm not a constant tinkerer so my inclination is not. Am looking at 09 forks BTW.
I bought 2009 Float R's .... im a set and go rider , i dont make adjustments at the top and bottom of every hill so the R's are perfect.
The RC2 are more fit-and-forget than the R in my experience ๐
I've got Float RC2's and bought them on the basis that I was always adjusting my old Vanilla 32's
The 36's are so good, they deal with everything.
for longer rave forks, being able to tune the LS and HS compression is very useful. Particularly useful for reducing brake dive in Alps-type riding.
Its not that much extra for the RC2. The first time you take them out just concentrate on the pressure and the rebound dial. Next time take high speed, the time after that take low speed. As long as you isolate the variable you will start to understand what you want out of the forks.
