Just picked up my new Karate Monkey today. There are bow another set of braze ons on the seatstays for the lower part of a rack (this frame isn't for people who like super clean lines).
That means you can now run discs and a normal rack with complete ease! Hurrah!
pics please.
Hate to spoil the party but, I thought I'd read on the Surly site that they don't recommend (or warranty ) using discs AND pannier rack on the Karate Monkey !
( seems strange )
Here it is: Read the last paragraph:

Lots of bikes have rack and disc mounts and have for years.
No! The latest karate monkeys come with a second set of braze ons half way down the seat stays as well as the usual rack/guard mounts by the dropout.
I assume they are for mounting a "normal" rack to a 29er - clearance is an issue normally. I will take a picture tomorrow.
My new KM has a extra braze on between that cable guide and the hanger. Will post a picture tomo.
Like the singular peregrine then?
