Agreed, it's bloody tough! Especially the second part of the '8'. Certainly not an XC loop...

I did it yesterday on a fully rigid carbon fork type bike, never again. In alot of places the top surface has washed/worn away down to the rock bed making it unpleasant on a fully rigid bike. Some of my favourite old bits pre trail centre have been ruined by it's popularity over the last few years. There was a section of Hully Gully which has collapsed leaving a few inches of narrow trail to aim for with a big drop into the stream, I think Hully Gully will need some work again soon.

Riding it on a rigid bike then complaining it's too bumpy.... ๐Ÿ˜†

Not been up there for a while, is it pretty screwed then? Aren't there some new bits as well?
