Has anyone seen this in stock somewhere?

I just received a maxterra which was incorrectly listed as maxxgrip but I can’t find another option anywhere right now.

Don’t you need to look at DD for MaxxGrip Assegais?

I couldn't find one so I got a DD instead.

Great tyre but lordy, it's a sticky lump to pedal around.

According to this page they do exist. I also found them on worldwide cyclery though it seems stock didn’t last long.

Nope, they do exist, I have a couple on bikes and some spares in boxes. Probably the best tyre ever.

Wanna sell me one of your spares? 😉

(I realise this negates the point of keeping a spare)

Got one from bike discount last October. Been on my FS ever since. Just a fantastic front tyre if you can accept the weight and drag. Mine you, it was £70! Definitely exist!

Eldest_oab is three rides in on his Assegai - and reckons the Michelin Wild Enduro is better... 😉

The SKU shows them in stock at Rutland here:

I think the only thing the Wild Enduro's are better at, is being cheap. My review, questionable grip, poor wear rate (remarkable, given the lack of grip) & offer as much puncture resistance as tracing paper. But hey, they are cheap 🙂

Maybe now they have decided to use the DH rubber compound for them, they might work?

On such a divisive matter as tyres, our entire entire extended riding group universally came to the conclusion that they are in fact, shyte. Not quite as shyte as Specialized tyres, but almost.

Ah, just saw it as available.

Found some on Ebay through a shop too, a snip at £78.99 each though 🙂

I think that’s downhill casing, not exo+.

I saw a few on eBay, might be tempted even at that price but the ones I saw had £40 postage on top! Do you have an eBay link to one with cheaper postage?

That Rutland one is definitely the DH carcass option unfortunately.
