What would STW do?
I've just bought my son an xs Nickel, it was too good a price not to take it. However he is probably not quite tall enough for 26" wheels so was planning on putting it on 24" for a bit.
The fork it has at the moment is a very nice Rockshox Revelation with a 20mm bolt through
The options i've got are
1: Try and find a pair of 24" wheels that will do 20mm bolt through (not having much luck with that at the moment)
2: Rebuild the current wheels with 24" rims (I wasn't planning on using the wheels anyway)
What about just getting a 24” rear? It’ll drop the BB by almost as much as swapping both wheels, and will reduce the reach, which may be a bonus.
Just to say, my son was on 24" wheel for about 2 weeks. And they can rider bigger bikes than they any way, he'll grow into it pretty quickly.
